Choose the right size for your bike or let us help you free of charge.
We also offer individual configuration of stem length and handlebar position. We can dial in your new bike according to bike fit data or by measuring your current bike. At checkout you can enter your measurements and we will check your size choice and help you all the way.
The integrated size selector on our product pages makes choosing the right size easy.
Learn what you can do if you are in doubt or find yourself between two sizes.
Our size chart is indicative only. Feel free to contact us if you are in doubt.
If you are in doubt and if your height matches two different bike sizes you kan use the following guidelines.
For aero dynamic position and optimal control:
Choose the smallest alternative.
For comfort:
Choose the largest alternative.
More about overlapping sizes:
A larger frame will always have a slightly taller head tube (between the handlebars and the fork) and therefore this is a more comfortable choice than the smaller alternative.
If you aim for a more aggressive and aerodynamic position you should choose the smaller of the two options and choose a longer stem (by noting this in the comment box at our webshop checkout.
If you have short legs (in relation to your height) you can choose a smaller frame. If you have relatively long legs it would probably be a good idea to consider the larger alternative.
If you select a smaller frame spacers can be added to compensate for the reduced head tube height.
A smaller frame can be ‘extended’ with a longer stem to achieve the right position.
A smaller frame will often be easier to control and have better handling properties. This should be part of the consideration along with the question of comfort.
It is very important that your saddle height and handlebar position fits you. We can help you set this up when you’ve purchased your new bike.
If you are considering a road bike with integrated aero handlebars you should be aware that we will not be able to swap the stem without charge – or raise the handlebar if the bike has internal cable routing through the stem and the head tube.
Also, you can send us info on your inseam measurements along with your order and we will check the fit. (See the article below)
At our webshop checkout you can specify if you want help or if you want to send us your bike fit data. Or perhaps you just know that you want a 110 mm stem.
This way you make sure that your bike is the right fit from the start. And you avoid having to replace the stem or other components right after receiving the bike.
A large majority of our customers are satisfied with our standards and choose not to alter them. But feel free to contact our customer service if you have any doubts whether our sizes and setups fit you.
Or you can make a note of this in the comment box at checkout and we will make sure that you get the right size and setup.
Be extra aware when ordering a road bike with integrated cable routing in the cockpit and/or the head tube because both the height of the handlebar and the length of the stem are more difficult to change back at a later point in time.
(* Does not include integrated aero road handlebars.
** Does not include upgrades for aero bikes with internal cable routing.)
We check the frame size after you place your order and before we assemble and deliver the bike. Enter your height measurements in the comment box at our webshop checkout and we will contact you in case anything is unclear. Or if we believe that the handlebar height or the stem length needs adjusting.
Our bikes come in the standard sizes and a precisely defined setup of the handlebar position (width, length and height) that fits most riders (about 95%).
Find answers to the most important questions about size.
I can fit one of two sizes. Which should I choose?
Contact our customer service and we will help you. The smaller of the two options is often easier to handle and more aerodynamic. And you can compensate using a longer stem.
Do I have to specify the stem length and handlebar width?
If you don’t specify that you want help or if you don’t contact us we will choose our default setup which fits most riders.
What if the bike doesn't fit me?
Then you can have your stem or handlebars replaced. Or you can return the bike within the return period. Please note that integrated aero handlebars for road bikes cannot be changed or adjusted in height free of charge.
I know exactly what I want?
That's great. Just order online, through customer service or from one of our showrooms.
I am in doubt. What do I do?
Feel free to contact our customer service – both before, during or after ordering.
I have ridden my bike for 12 months now and I want a longer stem?
Feel free to contact our customer service – both before, during or after ordering. Often riders will adjust their handlebar height during the season and in accordance with changes in form and ambition. Our guidance is valid for the time of ordering.
When should I get a bike fit?
Most often we recommend having a bike fit done in connection with load injuries or pain in the musculoskeletal system. A bike fit is not crucial to getting a good riding position.
How do I select the correct bike size when ordering from Pronghorn?
You can use your inseam, Q, to calculate the correct bike size.
You can use your inseam, Q, to calculate the correct bike size.
Measure your inseam, Q, by standing on the ground without shoes while standing up straight.
You can place a spirit level between your legs. Measure the distance to the ground, Q, from the top side of the spirit level when it is level.
ROAD – SIZE IN CENTIMETERS = Q x 0,66
If your inseam is 87 centimeters the calculation would be: 87 x 0,66 = 57 centimeters.
MTB – SIZE IN INCHES = Q x 0,56 / 2,54
If your inseam is 87 cm the calculation would be: 87 x 0,56 / 2,54 = 19 inches.
If the result fits two sizes?
If you want a sporty and aggressive position on your bike you should go for the smallest of the two alternatives. If you want to sit in a more endurance-oriented upright position which is also easier on your back you should go for the larger option. In both cases we will adjust the stem length and the handlebar height to get the optimal position.
Maybe you have relatively short legs. In this case we will go for the smallest alternative and a slightly longer stem.
